another hooker got busted

another hooker got busted on 96th street

and she's sittin' in the back of the cruiser

and her dough girl partner is in mourning on the comer

wondering where the magic man is with the money

that she'll need to get back on the street

to go through this all again

another hooker got busted on 96th street

and the sun's breakin' hard like an oven gone breserk

with street john's laughin' cause they ain't in the backseat

then frownin' cause they realize the saddles in the barn

and the unmarked car is sitting like an elephant

with a cookie up its ass on the comer

another hooker got busted

and no one's laughin' or helping or bending for another look see

and her brothers in the park sleepin' off a walker

cause he found a five spot in the alley

yea, another hooker got busted on 96th street

and her makeup's bleeding down her indian face

and her hair's a nest of despair

and the windows are rolled up

the door is closed up

and you wonder what she's thinking

and you lean back on your chair

order another blue label

and go on with your romance of drinking
