for others. less so
on thursday
i babysat for some friends
it was the first time
they had been away
from their child
and i was thrilled
that they chose me
the baby is named darios
and is twelve weeks old
this couple
with the new chIld
are doing wonderfully well
and it is a cause for joy
yesterday i got a phone call
from an old friend
who told me
he was getting divorced
his wife of several years
no longer wanted to try
they have a daughter
who is prettier than a picture
i have no other way of connecting
these two stories
it is just how life works
for some
this week of true joy
for others
less so
