Madagascar periwinkle have beautiful pink flowers
Yet i've never seen one except in pictures
Dawn was almost over
An untested quiet sat
Rare specks caught themselves jitterbugging
Leaving sparkles in the first light
I watched these small perfect moments
Nestled in your arms in our bed
Growing hard with the beauty of it
Venus in every nook and cranny of you
And you waking
Lifting your lips to mine
Every thought leaving my head
Nearby birds perhaps singing
The squirrels digging our flowers to mulch
Ignoring our coupling
Nearing nirvana
Every madagascar periwinkle in the world explodes into the colour of joy
