what we pass over in silence

" Never do anything except what you want to do."

- Donald Hall

from The One Day

for graydon elder miles and don quarrie

this is the poem i hope to someday write

he had the knife at her throat

your favourite table, your favourite bar

i dream charlie parker dreams

i saw a young boy

for others, less so

carefully measured

saturday night

it was on a beach

small lies will be whispered

we were watching the late night news

my funny valentine

dancing

your steps on the stairs

madagascar periwinkle

sailing into kursadasi
